Crystal Palace youngster announces departure on social media

Crystal Palace youngster David Omilabu has announced that he will be leaving the club this summer.

The 20-year-old forward has featured 30 times in all competitions for the Eagles’ U21 side this season, scoring five times and picking up seven assists.

Omilabu signed a professional deal with the club in 2021 and scored an extra-time winner in the Premier League 2 Division 2 play-off semi-final against Wolves.

Reece Hannam has also announced he will be leaving the club this summer.

First-team duo Luka Milivojevic and James McArthur will also be departing Selhurst Park.

He said on Instagram: “12 years @cpfc has come to an end. I would like to thank all the staff and players for helping me and guiding me into the player I am today. I’d als like to thank you fans for all the love and suppor i’ve received over the years. 

“Unfortunately i couldn’t leave on a high note by winning the cup with the boys yesterday but sometimes some things aren’t just meant to be. I wish everyone a the club all the best for the future!”
