Crystal Palace’s Tyrick Mitchell lands England call-up with Liverpool and Chelsea players withdrawing
Tyrick Mitchell has become the third Crystal Palace player to be called up this season by England manager Gareth Southgate.
The left-back follows in the footsteps of Chelsea loanee Conor Gallagher, who made his debut in the last international break, and centre-back Marc Guehi, who was selected at senior level for the first time last week.
Chelsea’s Reece James and Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold have both withdrawn from the Three Lions squad, paving the way for Mitchell to showcase his talent on the big stage.

Before the call-up, England manager Gareth Southgate said: “Tyrick, we’ve been really impressed with.
“He’s been very good with his defending. He gets out quickly to people and in the biggest games against top opponents he’s coped really well.”
