Crystal Palace’s Vicente Guaita is in ‘top-five’ goalkeepers in Premier League

Stephen Henderson reckons Vicente Guaita is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League.

The Spaniard has kept 32 clean sheets in 108 matches since joining the Eagles from Getafe in July 2018.

“He’s top five in the Premier League,” said Henderson, who spent two seasons acting as cover at Palace.

“He doesn’t get enough praise. He’s a fantastic person who never misses a day’s training. Some of the saves I’ve seen him make are special, and he makes them with ease.

“He is definitely the best goalkeeper I’ve come across in my career.

“Popey [Nick Pope] has kicked on. He’s quality. I’m a real big fan of him and the way he bounced back from that shoulder injury. He’s got to be up there as well.”
