Darren Pratley signs new one-year deal at Charlton Athletic
BY RICHARD CAWLEY
Darren Pratley has signed a one-year contract extension at Charlton Athletic.
The 34-year-old midfielder was due to be a free agent at the end of this season.
But Addicks manager Lee Bowyer, a big admirer of the combative former Swansea City and Bolton Wanderers man, has moved to resolve his future.
Pratley has made 29 league starts for Charlton and scored a crucial goal in the 3-2 play-off semi-final second leg match against Doncaster Rovers.
He told the club’s official website: “I’m really pleased.
“I really enjoyed last season and felt I was able to help the team on and off the pitch. I’m also really pleased with how we’ve started this season – we’ll work our hardest to keep that up.
