Dean Holden: Charlton fans will be even more excited about Panutche Camara now
Dean Holden reckons Saturday afternoon’s performance by Panutche Camara is just a snapshot of what the Ipswich Town loanee is capable of.
The former Dulwich Hamlet youngster scored in today’s 5-0 win over Wealdstone.
Camara was replaced at the end of the first half along with former Cambridge United centre-back Lloyd Jones, who had previously not featured in the Addicks’ warm-up games.
“It shows what a good player he can be – that’s the first 45 minute he’s had,” said Holden.
“He had a little bit of a first taste of it with Ipswich, but that was a number of weeks ago. He has only trained a few times with us but you can see what an exciting talent he is, can’t you? With or without the ball – he gets after people and when the ball lands at his feet he’s got great feet. He can dribble, drive – he’s got good technical ability.
“Considering he is nowhere near as fit as we want him to be and that’s his first 45 – I said at Gillingham the fans would be excited by him, and even more so now.”
