Dons boss Hodges: Plough Lane move won’t feel complete until our fans allowed back in

Glyn Hodges reckons that AFC Wimbledon’s return to Plough Lane will only be “complete” when supporters are allowed back in.

The Dons play their first match at their new stadium on November 3 against Doncaster Rovers.

But fans will not be able to attend due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Hodges had a meeting at Plough Lane on Thursday.

“It was about the dressing room and the physio room – how it was going to look,” said the Wimbledon manager.

“We had a run through to see what we needed and where we want things. We’ll have some training sessions there before our first match.

“Our first game will be under lights, so we’ll have a few sessions under the lights.

“It was built by the fans and we are a fan-owned club. They are not going to be there supporting us but hopefully it won’t be long before they are back in.

“It will be great to be back at Plough Lane but it won’t be complete until the fans are in there and we’re back together.”
