Dons boss nominated for League Two Manager of the Month for November

AFC Wimbledon manager Johnnie Jackson has been nominated for Sky Bet League Two manager of the month for November.

The Dons picked up seven points from three games during November, picking up a 2-0 win over table-toppers Leyton Orient and a 2-0 win over play-off hopefuls Tranmere Rovers.

Jackson’s side also picked up a point in a 0-0 draw away to Salford.

Crewe Alexandra boss Lee Bell, Northampton Town manager Jon Brady and Carlisle United’s Paul Simpson have all been nominated for the award alongside Jackson.

Wimbledon are unbeaten in seven League Two outings and have kept four clean sheets in a row in the division.

Jackson said following the 1-0 win over Sutton United in the EFL Trophy: “We’re really pleased with how it’s going.

“There were a lot of questions asked of myself, my players, the club and where we were going after that Sutton game [in the league] – because it hurt. It hurt me as much as anyone, but we have gone on a really good run since.

“We’re delighted with how it’s going. We just want to keep it going for as long as we can. It’s nice to get a bit of revenge and to keep that run going. But we haven’t done anything yet.

“We’re not even halfway through the season yet, so we just have to keep steady, calm and not get too high – see where it takes us.”
