Dons boss to make decision on Doncaster Rovers defender
Doncaster left-back Tyler Grant

AFC Wimbledon manager Neal Ardley has admitted that last weekend’s final friendly action has been “a bit of a reality check” for the League One outfit.
The Dons split their first-team squad and lost 4-1 at Havant & Waterlooville on Friday night before a 0-0 draw at Boreham Wood on Saturday.
Ardley said: “We did great against Reading, Woking, Brighton and QPR but we were brought a little bit down to earth in the last couple of games.
“We saw a little more what we needed to work on.”
The Dons look set to try and do a deal for Doncaster left-back Tyler Garratt, who was allowed to face The Wood.
“We’re delighted with the way he’s performed and we thanked Doncaster for letting him come in here and have a look at him,” said Ardley.
“I’ll have a chat with the staff and see where he fits in the squad, if at all. We’ll have a chat with Doncaster, and his agent to see if anything can be done.”
Ardley is still after another central defender and striker.
“We are looking at three or maybe four signings. But it is after the Premier League deadline when they know what they have got that things spiral down – that triggers and business gets done.
“Some might be after the first window closes, in mid August. We’ll try to get it right because it is such a long season.”
