Dulwich Runners round-up as they enjoy success in two weekend races

Ed Chuck finished second in the Sri Chimnoy 5km course in Battersea Park – his time of 15:50 bested by Nick Buckle (Belgrave Harriers).

He was followed under the 16 minute barrier by Tim Bowen, Andy Bond and second claim Lewis Laylee.

Bond set a new club M45 record (15:58).

Shane O’Neill and Jack Ramm broke their personal bests in 16:12 and 16:13. Edward Harper clocked 16:25.

Personal best runs from Daniel Mann and Tom South prefaced another 5km club record from Tony Tuohy (16:58). Joe Twomey, Joe Farmington-Douglas and Grzegorz Galezia also set PBs, Peter Jenkins made an excellent debut performance whilst Steve Smythe picked up the M60 gold medal.

Elkie Mace (fourth) and Ali Campbell (fifth) were the first Dulwich ladies finishers in 18:08 and 18:09. Martha Miaskiewicz was seventh (18:46).

Becca Schulleri, Lucy Pickering, Kim Hainsworth, Yvette Dore, Michelle Lennon and Belinda Cottrill finished just outside 20 minutes. Lucy and Michelle along with Hannah Harvest and Karina Burrows all set terrific PBs in the conditions. Sara Roloff (20:46) and Sonja Jutte (25:04) made debuts.

Dulwich won individual and team prizes at New Eltham Joggers Eltham Park 5 mile race on Sunday. O’Neill won in 28:39 with Mann and South fourth and fifth respectively. Miaskiewicz was first female and did the team double supported superbly by Yvette Dore (first W45) and Kim Hainsworth (second W35). Ros Tabor (first W65), Tony Tuohy (second M50), Michelle Lennon (second W45), Emma Ibell (third W45) and Graham Laylee (third M60).
