Dulwich Runners round up: Chuck takes British Masters Cross Country Championship title

Newly-qualified veteran Ed Chuck stormed to the British Masters Cross Country Championships title at Tonbridge with a time of 28:44 for the 8km course, writes Jonathan Whittaker.

Clare Elms was fifth (26:07) in the ladies’ 6km race, taking another W55 title in the process.

Chuck (23rd, 71:08) then helped to pace Shane O’Neill (24th) to a new PB of 71:09 in the Paddock Wood Half Marathon on Sunday.

Andy Bond was back to his best after injury (29th, 72:34).

He was followed by a cluster of Dulwich Runners in the top 50 including PBs from Joe Hallsworth (72:39, 30th) and Rob Armstrong (73:57, 39th), a club championship debut from Andrew Inglis (74:31, 45th). Jon Phillips (75:06, 50th) ran his second best ever time.

Yvette Dore smashed her PB to finish 12th (89:46) in the ladies race. Michelle Lennon (95:32, 22nd) and Clare Norris (97:04, 25th) joined her in the top 25.
