Dulwich Runners round-up: Four individual medals at Kent Masters
Dulwich Runners had a successful Kent Cross Country Masters at Dartford on Saturday with four individual medals.
Elkie Mace won gold in the W35 in a time of 20:12 for the 5.4km course.
Mace ran well with fellow Dulwich Runner Clare Elms for much of the race before pulling away towards the end to win her age category by a commanding 41 seconds, her first-ever individual gold medal.
Elms finished in 20:32 to win the W55 race convincingly ahead of her team-mate Ange Norris, who took silver in 22:56.
The W45 team finished fifth overall. Emma Ibell (seventh) had an excellent run in 22:30, with Yvette Dore coming 12th.
Second-claim member Jane Bradshaw, who has performed well for Dulwich in the Surrey League, finished 13th for Blackheath & Bromley.
Joanne Shelton Pereda finished 38th.
The M40 team finished fourth overall with Andy Bond taking a superb bronze in 29:13 for the 9.3km course behind two younger athletes.
Daniel Mann (18th) and Ian Lilley (24th) had reassuring runs with an excellent effort from Martin Double (67th) completing the scoring.
The M60 team finished sixth with Steve Smythe finishing 20th just ahead of Neville Webb. Bob Bell (32nd) completed the team.
