Eberechi Eze suffers further injury blow as Crystal Palace attacker set for lay-off
Crystal Palace attacker Eberechi Eze is set to be out for up to four weeks after suffering ankle ligament damage in the 2-1 defeat at Luton Town on Saturday afternoon.
Eze was forced off just after the start of the second half at Kenilworth Road, having been hauled down by Luton defender Gabriel Osho before the end of the first half.
The 25-year-old attempted to start the second 45 but was quickly replaced by Jordan Ayew.
England international Eze had just returned to the starting line-up after missing a number of weeks with a hamstring injury he picked up after the 1-0 win at Manchester United.
The Greenwich-born playmaker recently signed a new three-and-a-half-year deal with the South Londoners.
Eze joins Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, Nathan Ferguson, Dean Henderson and Cheick Doucoure, who is out for up to six months with an Achilles injury, on the sidelines.
The Eagles take on West Ham at The London Stadium next Sunday and then host Bournemouth at Selhurst Park the following Wednesday.
