Ellie Scotney set for January defence of IBF world super-bantamweight title

Catford’s Ellie Scotney is set to defend her IBF and Ring Magazine super-bantamweight world titles in Nottingham on January 25.

The unbeaten South Londoner (9-0) has been matched with New Zealand’s Mea Motu (20-0).

Scotney-Motu will be part of the card topped by Dalton Smith, who challenges Walid Ouizza for the European and WBC Silver super-lightweight championships.

Scotney, 26, has already twice defended her IBF crown which she won off Cherneka Johnson in June 2023.

Scotney’s last action came in April when she outpointed Segolene Lefebvre at Manchester Arena.

Motu, 34, is ranked number one by the IBF.
