Ex-Millwall and Crystal Palace defender makes National League loan switch
Ex-Crystal Palace and Millwall defender Tony Craig has signed for Dorking Wanderers on loan until the end of the season.
Craig, 37, had made 16 appearances in all competitions for League Two side Crawley Town this season.
However, since Scott Lindsey took over at The Broadfield Stadium, Craig has been out of the squad.
Dorking – who won promotion to the National League for the first time in their history last season – are currently 20th in the fifth tier and are without a win in their last five.
Greenwich-born Craig made 322 appearances for Millwall across three separate spells.
The ex-Leyton Orient and Brentford defender also made 14 appearances for Palace in 2007.
Dorking boss Marc White said: “Tony’s experience speaks for itself, with over 750 league appearances, mainly in the Championship and League One – he is the most experienced player ever to join Dorking Wanderers.
“He is a leader, a proven winner and warrior, having gained a popular status everywhere he has gone. He brings a wealth of leadership qualities, not least his ability to organise on the pitch and we are flattered to get his signature.”
