Exclusive: Charlton Athletic pushing to land Luton Town man on loan
Charlton Athletic look set to sign Luton Town midfielder Andrew Shinnie.
Addicks manager Lee Bowyer had made adding a striker and another option in the middle of the park a priority before today’s 5pm deadline.
And it now seems that Shinnie will be one of two deals that the League One club will look to get over the line.
The 31-year-old has played for Rangers, Birmingham City, Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Hibernian in a career where he has totted up more than 300 first-team appearances.
Shinnie was released by Birmingham in the summer of 2018 and initially joined the Hatters on a two-year contract.
He won the Scottish Championship with Hibs and two promotions at Luton Town.
Shinnie was also named in the PFA Scotland Team of the Year in the 2012-13 campaign.
