Exclusive: Charlton Athletic set to land exciting Jamaican international winger prospect
Charlton Athletic are looking to tie up a deal for Jamaican international winger prospect Kaheim Dixon.
The pacey 19-year-old is currently with Arnett Gardens, who compete in the Jamaica Premier League.
But the South London Press understands the Addicks are closing in on a transfer.
Dixon made his senior international debut in March in a CONCACAF Nations League semi-final against America.
He has scored six goals in 13 club appearances this season.
Dixon told media in April that he was set to consider his future once the domestic campaign finished and cited Europe as his preferred next destination.
His agent Kevin Cowan told the Jamaica Gleaner that month: “At this time I can confirm that clubs from Belgium, Denmark, Portugal, and MLS are tracking Dixon and have stated their interest in the player.
“The expectation is that he’ll eventually transfer abroad during the summer, but we’re still evaluating the different possibilities.
“The main thing for Kaheim at this time is to remain calm and keep focusing on getting better. So far, though, he has really impressed with how he is handling himself in the midst of his rapid ascent.”
