Crystal Palace hoping key duo fit for Nottingham Forest clash

Crystal Palace are hopeful that Daniel Munoz and Cheick Doucoure will be available for Monday night’s clash at Nottingham Forest, the South London Press understands.

The duo’s injury return would present a huge boost for Eagles boss Oliver Glasner, who is searching for a formula to end Palace’s winless start to the 2024-25 Premier League campaign.

Munoz was subbed off in the first half in the 1-0 defeat at home to Liverpool due to an abductor issue and withdrew from Colombia’s World Cup qualifying games against Bolivia and Chile.

The right wing-back has started every game since Glasner replaced Roy Hodgson and is crucial to the five-at-the-back formation as the only recognised senior player who can feature in that role.

Midfielder Doucoure has missed the last three Premier League outings.

Glasner tried a new back four formation in the behind-closed-doors friendly 2-2 draw with Premier League rivals Ipswich during the international break.
