Exclusive: Crystal Palace looking to wrap up deal for former Wolves goalkeeper

Crystal Palace are looking to wrap up a deal for released Wolves goalkeeper Louie Moulden to join their academy, the South London Press understands.

The 22-year-old would be an extremely strong addition to Darren Powell’s side, having had senior loan spells with Ebbsfleet United, Solihull Moors, Rochdale and League One Northampton Town.

Both of Palace’s young stoppers are out on loan this season, with Joe Whitworth heading on his first senior spell away from Selhurst Park to Exeter City and Owen Goodman joining Wimbledon.

Moulden made 12 appearances during his stint with Northampton, keeping two clean sheets, before leaving Premier League side Wolves at the end of last season.

He featured on the bench 11 times for Wolves at senior level.

Jackson Izquierdo started the 1-0 EFL Trophy defeat at Stevenage on Tuesday evening.
