Exclusive: Millwall defender agrees to extend contract

Shaun Hutchinson has agreed terms to extend his Millwall contract.

The 31-year-old centre-back joined the Lions in July 2016 after his deal at Fulham expired.

Hutchinson has made 211 appearances and weighed in with 13 goals, the most notable being a late winner at Bristol Rovers that saw the South London club qualify for the League One play-offs in 2017. Neil Harris’ side went on to beat Bradford in the final at Wembley and have been a Championship side ever since.

The Geordie has been a mainstay of their backline and has captained the team on numerous occasions.

Hutchinson won Millwall Supporters’ Player of the Year in the 2017-18 season.

Hutchinson had signed a long-term contract in January 2020.
