Exclusive: OH Leuven midfielder Casper De Norre emerges as Millwall transfer target
Millwall are interested in former Belgium U21 international Casper De Norre.
The South London Press understands that 26-year-old OH Leuven midfielder is on a list of transfer targets for the Championship club.
The Lions are active behind the scenes with their window plans and De Norre has emerged as a potential option.
Millwall have had success with signing players from overseas with Zian Flemming already returning on their club record £1.7million investment with 15 goals last season. The Lions have rejected multiple bids from Burnley for their Amsterdam attacker.
De Norre won the Belgian First Division with Genk in the 2018-19 season and played at youth level for them as well as Standard Liege.
His senior career started at Sint-Truiden before he signed for Genk in 2019, signing a four-and-a-half-year contract.
Lazio were linked with De Norre in 2019.
His main position is as a central midfielder but he has also featured in his career in both full-back roles.
He has scored nine goals and got 13 assists in 155 Jupiler Pro League matches. In total he has clocked up 221 appearances including three in the Champions League – starting against Liverpool, Napoli and RB Salzburg in the 2019-20 campaign.
