Exclusive: Millwall striker Abdul Abdulmalik training with League One outfit Portsmouth

Abdul Abdulmalik has joined Portsmouth on trial – with Millwall still due major compensation for the striker.

The Lions have offered the 18-year-old a new contract and remain hopeful that he will extend his stay.

Millwall had previously rejected a bid from Swansea which they viewed as derisory.

And although he is technically a free agent, the South London club are entitled to compensation that is in the region of seven figures if he opted to join another club.

Abdulmalik had previously been linked with Swansea, Arsenal, Rangers and Celtic but is currently training with the League One outfit.

Millwall have continued to invest heavily in their academy and have received £2.5million in compensation for three younger players in the last three years.
