Exclusive: Vicente Guaita extends Crystal Palace contract

The South London Press understands that Vicente Guaita has extended his contract with Crystal Palace.

The deal will keep the Spanish shotstopper at Selhurst Park until at least the end of the 2023-24 season.

The 35-year-old arrived from Getafe on a free transfer in 2018 under Roy Hodgson.

Guaita has recorded 139 appearances and 43 clean sheets for the Eagles during his time in South London.

Palace are well-stocked in the goalkeeping department, with Sam Johnstone signing a four-year deal over the summer after he left West Brom on a free transfer.

They are also looking to tie down young goalkeepers Joe Whitworth and Owen Goodman for the future.

Former Stoke City keeper Jack Butland is out of contract at the end of this season.
