Fleetwood pay ‘substantial undisclosed fee’ for Charlton’s Jayden Stockley

Jayden Stockley has completed his move from Charlton Athletic to Fleetwood Town.

The Addicks frontman still had 18 months to run on his contract with the South London club.

Fleetwood say that Stockley has joined for a “substantial undisclosed fee”.

Charlton manager Dean Holden told the club’s website: “Jayden leaves with the club’s best wishes. He had a really good goalscoring return last season, but it hasn’t quite worked out for him this season.

“I’m looking for a different profile of striker and we’ve got other options up front. He’s conducted himself really professionally in my time at the club and we wish him well.”

Fleetwood have handed Stockley the number 12 shirt and he is set to make his debut against Burton Albion on Saturday.

The forward has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Cod Army.
