Football League clubs make offers for Reise Allassani – and ex-Crystal Palace man holds talks

Reise Allassani has been the subject of formal bids – and the Dulwich Hamlet attacker has held talks with some of the clubs tracking him.

The former Crystal Palace prospect is set to move in the January window but the Bostik League Premier Division leaders will receive compensation after he recently signed a contract until the end of the campaign.

Allassani has 11 goals in 12 appearances for the Champion Hill outfit.

“There has been a few clubs showing a little bit more interest and they have made offers,” said Dulwich boss Gavin Rose.

“The player has had some dialogue with a few interested parties. From what I understand that is still ongoing. If the player is unhappy then he may stay on, if he is happy then he may not.

“At the moment what he is doing on the pitch is gaining more admirers. It is hotting up a bit but it has to suit all three parties – the buying club, the selling club and the player.”

Rose has not revealed what sort of price is acceptable to Hamlet. If Allassani, 21, had not penned terms then as a free agent he would have been able to move on a free transfer.

“We don’t want to stop Reise pushing on. We have got a bottom line price but if he keeps enhancing his reputation since those offers have come in then the natural thing is that the valuation will go higher.

“Until the player is happy with a proposal from a prospective club then nothing is really moving. Nothing has been signed off.”

Dulwich continue to be troubled by injuries with Michael Chambers set to potentially be out until the start of January with an ankle problem.

Striker Dumebi Dumaka has a cyst on the back of his knee. Rose said: “Sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s not. It is an injury that flares up every now and again.”

With Gavin Tomlin (broken leg) also unavailable the club added Gambian international Omar Koroma to the squad.

“We’ve had him before – he knows us and we know him,” explained Rose. “We’ve brought him in because Gavin’s injury is a long one.

“It is as permanent a deal as we can make it. We have to make sure we can afford it and justify it because the situation going on with the club in the background makes it very difficult to make massive commitments at the moment.”

Despite the uncertainy over Dulwich’s future – leaving them a pawn in the battle between Southwark Council and Meadow Residential’s development spat – their 2-1 win last weekend over Brightlingsea keeps them just clear of big-spending Billericay Town.

Tomorrow they go to Tonbridge Angels.

“We have shown a lot of very good characteristics of a successful team this season,” said Rose. “If that continues we will be in for a very good season.”
