Former AFC Wimbledon and Charlton defender to miss Carlisle United Plough Lane visit after international call-up

Former AFC Wimbledon and Charlton defender Terell Thomas is set to miss Carlisle United’s visit to Plough Lane after being called up by Saint Lucia.

Thomas has been named in ex-Crystal Palace striker Stern John’s squad for CONCACAF Nations League games against Saint Martin.

The 28-year-old, who captains St Lucia, joined Carlisle in the summer after leaving Charlton Athletic.

He made 61 appearances for the Addicks.

Thomas turned out 90 times for the Dons before leaving in August 2021 to join Crewe Alexandra.

Carlisle boss Mike Williamson suffered a 3-0 defeat already at Plough Lane this season – losing while in charge of Milton Keynes.

Wimbledon are set to host their first game at home since parts of the stadium and pitch were damaged following the River Wandle bursting its banks.
