Former AFC Wimbledon and Millwall keeper joins League Two side
League Two side Crawley Town have signed former Millwall and AFC Wimbledon goalkeeper Ryan Sandford on a deal until the end of the season.
Sandford came through the academy at The Den but did not play a first-team game, heading out on loan to Maidstone, Dorking, Dover and Weymouth during his spell with the Lions.
He left Millwall at the end of the 2022-23 season and signed a short-term deal with AFC Wimbledon in October, having trained with the Dons throughout the start of the season.
The 24-year-old left Wimbledon in November and joined National League South side Dartford.
He has now joined Crawley, who were in need of a keeper after Luca Ashby-Hammond was recalled by Fulham and sent out on loan to join Notts County.
Upon joining the Reds, who are ninth in League Two, Sandford said: “I am delighted to be here with Crawley. I know Corey well and also Harry Ransom from my time at Millwall, so I have heard so many good things about the club.
“I am ecstatic to be here and to get going. The process was really easy, and it was a no-brainer for me to join the club, and I am looking forward to getting stuck in.”
