Former AFC Wimbledon coach joins Thomas Tuchel’s England staff

Former AFC Wimbledon coach Justin Cochrane has joined Thomas Tuchel’s England backroom staff.

Cochrane, who is Thomas Frank’s first-team coach at Premier League side Brentford, was a part of Mark Robinson’s coaching staff at the Dons on secondment from the FA youth coaching set up during the 2020-21 season.

He left the Dons at the end of the season and was appointed as head of player development and coaching at Manchester United’s academy.

Cochrane, 43, joined Brentford in July 2022 and has been at the Gtech Stadium ever since.

He said: “I’m looking forward to working with the players, meeting the staff and stepping out at Wembley.

“Most of all, I’m looking forward to helping this very talented group achieve its goals.”
