Former Charlton Athletic transfer target clinches League One move to Rotherham United

Former Charlton Athletic transfer target Jonson Clarke-Harris has signed for Rotherham United.

The Millers announced the return of the 29-year-old striker, who previously had a spell on their books, today as the first addition made by manager Steve Evans.

Evans quit Stevenage recently for a second managerial stint at Rotherham, who were relegated from the Championship.

Charlton agreed a fee with Peterborough United in the January transfer window but were unable to meet the financial demands of Clarke-Harris.

We mentioned recently on the South London Press Football Pod that the forward was no longer on their list of targets.

Clarke-Harris has signed a two-year deal with Rotherham United, who are expected to be one of the clubs fancied to go well in the next League One campaign.
