Former Charlton midfielder George Dobson pulls out of pre-agreed summer transfer

George Dobson has called off his pre-contract agreement with Hungarian side Fehervar due to personal circumstances, the South London Press understands.

The former Charlton Athletic midfielder was due to start his deal at the Sostoi Stadion on July 1.

Dobson penned a pre-contract agreement with Hungarian side Fehervar in February, with his Charlton deal expiring at the end of the last campaign.

Nathan Jones repeatedly expressed his desire to keep Dobson at The Valley.

The 26-year-old made 144 appearances at The Valley and became captain during his time in South London.

Dobson is now a free agent and will look to sort a summer move ahead of the 2024-25 season starting.
