Former Charlton midfielder lands League One deal after free agency spell

League One side Crawley Town have signed former Charlton Athletic midfielder Louie Watson on a deal until the end of the 2025-26 season.

Watson made 27 appearances in all competitions for the Addicks last season on loan from then Premier League side Luton.

The Hatters released the former Derby and West Ham youngster at the end of the season and he had been without a club this campaign.

The 23-year-old has featured at senior level for Derby, Luton and the South Londoners.

He will be eligible to face Blackpool for Rob Elliot’s side this Saturday.

Watson will take on his former side on March 11 at the Broadfield Stadium.
