Former Millwall Chief Operating Officer lands Bromley role
Bromley have announced the appointment of former Millwall Chief Operating Officer Billy Taylor.
Taylor spent more than a decade with the Lions as he progressed from working within their media department to eventually becoming communications director.
He was then promoted to chief operating officer before leaving The Den in May 2024. Taylor’s departure was one of three high-profile departures from Millwall at the time, with chief executive Steve Kavanagh and director of football operations and recruitment Alex Aldridge also exiting.
The 34-year-old said: “I’m incredibly excited to join Bromley at a time of tremendous growth on and off the pitch for the club.
“The club has come a long way in recent seasons, particularly around infrastructure expansion and development, and I’ve been thoroughly impressed with further plans and strategies.
“I hope to be able to contribute positively to those and other wider endeavours in the months and years ahead and am grateful to the Chairman and to Mark for entrusting me with such responsibilities.”
Chief executive Mark Hammond added: “I’m delighted to welcome Billy to Hayes Lane. In what has been, and remains a transitional period for the club, Billy will bring a wealth of experience with him, which will help us as we continue our journey, adjusting to life in an EFL environment.
“He joins us having held senior positions at Millwall, so he knows the EFL very well, enabling him to be a key knowledge holder for the club as we look to establish ourselves and push on as a club.”
