Former Millwall loanee lands England U21 call-up for Euro 2023
Former Millwall loanee Charlie Cresswell has been named in Lee Carsley’s England U21 squad for this summer’s Euro 2023 finals in Georgia and Romania.
The 20-year-old defender joined the Lions at the start of last summer on a season-long stint from then Premier League side Leeds United.
Centre-back Cresswell made 30 appearances and scored five goals during his time at The Den but missed out on the final seven games of the season after suffering a fractured eye socket in the goalless draw at West Brom.
Leeds were relegated to the Championship on the final day of last season.
The Three Lions are in Group C alongside the Czech Republic, Germany and Israel.
