Former Millwall striker lands League One move
Former Millwall striker Lee Gregory has signed for Mansfield Town.
The Stags are newly-promoted to League One and the 35-year-old has penned a 12-month contract.
Gregory told Mansfield’s official website: “It’s a club on the up. It’s a perfect fit for me, with location factored in too, as well as hearing about the manager and how well he treats his players.
“Every game is tough in this league and it’ll be about being consistent week-in week out in order for us to do well.”
Gregory scored 77 goals in 238 matches for the Lions before leaving on a free transfer to Stoke City in 2019.
He netted 17 league goals in the season when Millwall won the League One play-offs in 2017.
