Former Palace loanee makes Championship switch

Former Crystal Palace loanee Tom Ince has joined Championship side Watford on a permanent transfer.

Ince was at Selhurst Park under Tony Pulis in the second half of the 2013-14 season in the Premier League, making eight appearances and scoring once.

The 31-year-old was relegated with Reading last season to League One but has made the switch to Watford to link up with former Palace defender Valerien Ismael.

Ince has signed a two-year deal at Vicarage Road, with an option for a further 12 months possible.

The winger has had spells at Blackpool, Stoke, Derby and Hull during his career.

Watford finished 11th – six points off the play-offs – last season.
