Former Wimbledon defender makes League Two switch

Former AFC Wimbledon defender Paul Osew has joined League Two rivals Northampton Town on a deal until the end of the season.

Osew signed a new deal at Plough Lane in the summer but was released at the end of the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old South Londoner made 75 appearances for the Dons in all competitions after progressing through the club’s academy.

Osew was named in the matchday squad for Northampton’s League Two clash against Hartlepool.

Versatile defender Osew made six appearances under Johnnie Jackson.

Northampton are pushing to secure a place in the League Two play-off spots.
