Fred Onyedinma leaves Millwall to join Wycombe Wanderers

BY JAKE SANDERS

Fred Onyedinma has left Millwall to join Wycombe Wanderers on a permanent basis.

The 22-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Adams Park – where he scored four goals in 24 games – before he was recalled by the Lions in January, only to make one substitute appearance in a goalless draw against Sheffield Wednesday the following month.

Onyedinma, who graduated through the club’s Academy, netted 12 times in 151 Millwall appearances, with the last of those coming in a 1-0 victory at Birmingham City in early 2018.

The midfielder featured in Millwall’s first three pre-season friendlies and scored in the win at Concord, but Lions chief Neil Harris revealed that Onyedinma didn’t want to play for the club anymore and was left out of their final two matches against Gillingham and Southend United.
