Fulham and Brentford linked with AFC Wimbledon hot property Ayoub Assal

Fulham and Brentford are reportedly set to battle it out for AFC Wimbledon attacker Ayoub Assal.

The 20-year-old made his debut for the Dons back in March 2021 and has scored 12 goals in 56 appearances since then.

Assal, who started his academy career at Millwall, signed a new three-year deal in May 2021, meaning he still has two years left on his current deal.

Now The Mirror are reporting that the Premier League duo have shown an interest in Assal ahead of the summer transfer window.

The report adds that there is also a number of Championship clubs looking to secure his signature after Wimbledon were relegated from League One last season.

Norwich, Blackburn Rovers and QPR have all been confirmed as admirers of Assal – as well as Barnsley, who were relegated from the Championship.
