Fulham confirm duo to undergo surgery as both ruled out for Premier League finale
Andreas Pereira and Tim Ream will miss the remainder of Fulham’s Premier League season.
The duo have been mainstays of Marco Silva’s team which has done such an impressive job of securing top-flight security and bucking their recent trend of yo-yoing between divisions.
American centre-back Ream broke his arm early in Sunday’s 2-1 defeat to Manchester City with number 10 Pereira stretchered off with a broken ankle in the second half.
Fulham provided an update on the pair this afternoon.
“Ream fractured his right arm and will have surgery tomorrow,” said a statement on their official website. “He is expected to be fit for when the squad returns for pre-season.
“Andreas fractured his ankle and will undergo surgery today. Following his surgery and during his rehabilitation, we will be able to provide a further update on when he is likely to return to action, anticipated later this year.
“We wish both players all the best with their recoveries.”
Fulham are back in action at Liverpool tomorrow night.
