Fulham defender Robinson: We’ll be okay if effort levels at Wolves becomes minimum standard for remainder of Premier League season

Antonee Robinson reckons Fulham will beat the Premier League drop if they make their efforts at Wolves the standard for the rest of the campaign.

The Whites are pointless and bottom of the standings after four rounds and head to fellow strugglers Sheffield United on Sunday.

Robinson, a summer signing from Wigan Athletic, made his top-flight debut last time out.

“It was an improvement in all aspects,”he told The Monday Night Fulham Fix. “We all know the quality in the squad – it’s just how we apply it and the effort we put into games.

“I didn’t feel there was enough fight in the team but we played Wolves – a top side in the league – and we all came together. You could see people were throwing their bodies at everything, trying to get up and score and running around like crazy – then the quality ended up coming out.

“We played nice football at times, it was just unfortunate the ball fell to them on the edge of the box and they got an easy goal from it.

“If we apply ourselves like that, as a bare minimum, I’m pretty sure we will take points going forward.

“We needed a good performance before the international break and now we’ve got players in before the deadline.

“The only way is up for us.”
