Fulham facing battle with former boss Parker to land Swansea skipper Grimes

Fulham and Bournemouth are reportedly showing an interest in Swansea City captain Matt Grimes.

The 25-year-old has made 157 appearances for the Swans and scored eight goals during a six-year spell in Wales.

Scott Parker left Fulham last month to join the Cherries.

The Mail are reporting that Fulham will battle their former boss for the signature of the combative midfielder.

They add that Parker was keen on signing Grimes during his time in charge with the Cottagers.

Grimes has just under one year remaining on his Swansea contract. Premier League duo Southampton and Newcastle have also been linked with a move for Grimes.
