Fulham midfielder confident of bring his A-game to QPR

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Stefan Johansen is confident he can play his best football under QPR manager Mark Warburton.

The 30-year-old midfielder did not make Fulham’s 25-man squad for the first half of the Premier League season.

Johansen has signed on loan for Rangers for the remainder of the campaign and could make his debut against Watford on Monday.

“You want to play your best football and you need the right manager for that,” said the Norwegian international. “I definitely feel I can play my best football under him.”

Warburton added: “He is a player who has shown he can play in a deeper-lying midfield role or in a more attacking position. The flexibility he has is vital for us.

“With our game against Watford being moved to Monday night it gives us extra time to work with him this week, see where he is and then we can make a decision from there.”
