Fulham reportedly offer forward new deal to stay for next season

Fulham have reportedly offered former Chelsea and Arsenal forward Willian a one-year deal to stay at Craven Cottage.

The Athletic are reporting Fulham have offered Willian similar terms to keep him with the Cottagers into the 2023-24 campaign.

The 34-year-old joined the west Londoners in the summer on a free transfer after leaving Corinthians and made 30 appearances in all competitions under Marco Silva last season.

Willian has been capped 70 times by Brazil and played at the 2014 and 2018 World Cups. He registered five goals and picked up six assists last season.

Fulham finished 10th in the Premier League.

Speaking on working under former Hull and Everton boss Silva, Willian said: “Every year, this club can fight for something special and Marco Silva has been brilliant this season and last season as well.

“I can say that he is one of the best managers I have worked with in my whole career – it has been great to work with him.”
