Harder and Eriksson to leave Chelsea at end of season

Pernille Harder and Magda Eriksson will leave Chelsea at the end of the season, when their contracts expire.
It’s being widely-anticipated that the pair will seek pastures new next season with Germany their likely destination.
Bayern Munich are keen to secure the services of the attacking Danish midfielder Harder and Eriksson, Sweden’s central defensive maestro.
Harder signed for the Blues in 2020 for a then world record fee believed to have been £250,000 from German outfit Wolfsburg.
While scoring some sensational goals, she has also had a fair share of injuries and has made 46 appearances for the west Londoners, scoring 24 times.
The 30 year-old has recently returned to the starting line-up following a lengthy layoff with a hamstring injury.
She scored in last night’s 4-0 thrashing of West ham which saw the Blues top the table by two points over Manchester United.
Club skipper Eriksson, 29, has played a pivotal part in Chelsea’s success since signing for the Blues in 2017 from Swedish side Linköpings FC.
She has notched up 102 appearances in that time with seven goals to her credit.
The predominately centre-back defender can also play left-back.
With the signing of Canada defender Kadeisha Buchanan and the emergence of Jess Carter as a highly accomplished versatile defender, Eriksson had found a regular starting place more difficult this season.
Injuries to Buchanan and Millie Bright has seen her restored to the back line as the Blues arrow towards another WSL title.
Two wins from the last four games will secure their fourth WSL title in a row.
It would be a fitting end to a remarkable Chelsea career should she lift the trophy to go with the one she scooped on Sunday when the Blues beat Manchester United in the FA Cup final.
