High times! Bromley High are winners at London Youth Games
Bromley High’s journey to capital champions began last year when the team qualified for the competition by winning the Bromley Borough Tournament.
In the first round they won all three matches against Waldegrave School (13-2), Channing School (13-2) and Gumley School (15-0).
And they had a perfect record in round two as they saw off Forest School (11-3), Streatham & Clapham High School (6-4) and St Philomena’s (10-1).
Bromley High won 13-3 against City of London School in the quarter-finals before a 12-4 success against Francis Holland School and then a 13-3 triumph in the final as they once again saw off Streatham & Clapham High School to lift the trophy.
The team (pictured right) consisted of Florence Merrick, Gabriella Willis, Neve Jackson, India Sparkes, Olivia Harrington, Leonie Campbell, Islay Pearson, Lucy Kemp and Georgi Samuel.
