Hull City boss ignoring criticism ahead of Championship clash with Millwall

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Grant McCann has told his Hull City players not to dwell on another safety setback in midweek as they gear up to face Millwall on Saturday.

The Tigers have won one of their last 16 Championship matches and lost 2-1 at Bristol City on Wednesday night as they slipped into the bottom three.

Hull have conceded 74 goals – only bottom club Luton Town (79) have let in more.

City chose to cash in on Kamil Grosicki – who scored for City in their 1-1 draw at The Den in August – and Jarrow Bowen in the January window. After losing their two star attackers they went into freefall. McCann said: “We’ve got four games – we all have to stick together.

“I’ll let everyone outside the camp decide what we need and what we haven’t done and [to] make those comments regarding one win in this, the defence is rubbish etc etc. The boys are excellent. They’re fighting really hard.”
