‘I feel at home already’ – Emile Smith Rowe has settled quickly at Fulham
Emile Smith Rowe has put his strong start in a Fulham shirt down to quickly settling in at the west London club.
The Whites splashed a record fee to snap up the attacking midfielder from Arsenal in the summer.
Smith Rowe has scored twice – the latest in Saturday’s 3-1 victory over Newcastle at Craven Cottage – as well as collecting one assist.
“Just having my confidence back – and being back on the pitch,” Smith Rowe, when asked about his impact for the Whites, told the club’s in-house media. “Everyone knows it has been a difficult couple of years for me.
“I’m really happy on the pitch at the moment and the manager is giving me so much confidence and belief.
“I’m really happy here, I feel at home already.
“It was disappointing to draw the game how we did last weekend (West Ham scoring a late equaliser). It was important we bounced back, got the three points and scored goals.”
Fulham head to Forest on Saturday.
