In-form Charlton striker Lyle Taylor will not play at Mansfield Town in FA Cup

Lyle Taylor will sit out Charlton’s FA Cup tie at Mansfield Town on Sunday – with boss Lee Bowyer giving the striker a rest before he heads off on international duty with Montserrat.
The frontman scored in Tuesday night’s 2-0 win at Walsall and has played despite a stomach muscle problem in the last two fixtures as the Addicks have banked maximum points to move back into the League One play-off places.
Taylor is suspended for their next league game after collecting a fifth booking of the campaign in the midweek match. It does not apply to FA Cup matches.
“He won’t be involved Sunday – he won’t even travel,” said Charlton manager Lee Bowyer. “Where he didn’t train the injury seemed to clear up a little bit.
“It might just have been a bit of fatigue and stiff because he has played every game. It was great for us that he got through the two games, I didn’t expect to see him out there on Tuesday at all. But he put himself out ther.
“He’ll still go away [with Montserrat]. They have just got one game.”
