Ipswich Town set to sign AFC Wimbledon striker
Championship high-flyers Ipswich Town are set to sign Ali Al-Hamadi from AFC Wimbledon.
The South London Press understands the Dons have agreed a club-record fee of the Phoenix era for the striker, thought to be in the region of £1.75million.
Ayoub Assal’s transfer to Qatari side Al-Wakrah, which landed Wimbledon £1.2m last January, was the previous record.
Al-Hamadi has 16 goals and seven assists in all competitions this season and his former side Wycombe have a sizeable sell-on clause included in the transfer.
The Iraqi international has scored 27 goals and recorded eight assists in all competitions for the Dons since signing last January.
