‘It’s a dream for me’ – Odsonne Edouard on striking twice on his Crystal Palace debut

Odsonne Edouard said that his brace against Tottenham made it a “dream debut” after Crystal Palace beat Spurs 3-0 at Selhurst Park.

The Eagles got their first win of the season to move up to 11th in the Premier League.
Edouard, signed for £14million from Celtic on transfer deadline day, told BT Sport: “It’s a dream debut for me, to score in front of the fans is very good for me and the team.
“It was my dream, until I came to Crystal Palace I have worked very hard for this moment.”

Zaha, who opened the scoring from the spot, said: “That felt special because what we’ve been working on, trying to play football and today I thought we showed it.
“I’ve been practicing [my penalties], I don’t see why I can’t take penalties so I’m happy I took one and scored for the team.
“[Talking about Tanganga] He’s strong, he’s fast, so as a winger you have to think fast about what you’re going to do but I enjoy battles.
“I’m happy that today we came out on top. We just believed in the process, if we continue playing the way we do and we did we continued playing and the chances will come, we just have to take them.
“Attackers are getting on the ball, we’re doing what we enjoy doing, if we’re scoring goals everyone’s happy.”
