Jadon Sancho and former Charlton Athletic boss Chris Powell presented with legacy caps by English FA

England international Jadon Sancho collected his ‘legacy’ cap during a special ceremony at St George’s Park.

The FA have adopted the tradition which sees every player who has represented the Three Lions get a unique number with the digits inside the collar of their matchday shirt.

Camberwell-raised Sancho is the 1,236 player to represent England and received a red velvet cap with his number embroidered on the front.

The Borussia Dortmund attacker will be hoping to feature when England open their Euro 2020 campaign against Croatia on Sunday.

National team boss Gareth Southgate (1,071) and former Charlton manager Chris Powell (1,103) were also part of the presentation as they have also represented their country.
